The Lords Prayer

Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name, thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.  Give us this day our daily bread; and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.  For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever and ever.  Amen.

Bob Johnson

Robert Johnson was born on January 11, 1929 in Galesburg, Illinois.  He grew up in Kenosha, Wisconsin and was an active Lutheran his entire life.  Bob attended Carroll College and the University of Wisconsin at Madison where he studied acting, forestry, history and economics.  He joined the Navy and served on a mine sweeper in the Korean War.  He was very proud of his military service.  After an honorable discharge, he returned to Wisconsin working for a manufacturer in finance.  He transferred to California; as he had formerly spent time in the service in the area.  He moved to Hermosa Beach and continued his studies at UCLA.

In 1962 he married Janet Howard, his childhood sweetheart with a five year old son who he took to his heart.  They moved to Palos Verdes while Bob was working as Credit Manager for Kaiser Steel Company.  He worked in the steel industry until 1994.

Bob and Jan move to Cary, North Carolina in 1994 to be near Chris and family.  In 1998 , they moved back to Southern California to Coto de Caza.  He continued to work part time in real estate and enjoyed devoting his time to Mount of Olives Church and taking care of his wife.

He is survived by his wife, Janet; son, Chris;
daughter-in-law, Laurie; and  three granddaughters,
Hamie, Heather, and Danielle.
